• Developers are the heroes who create the software. But testers are the heroes who protect the business from demolition. To err is human and lead to financial losses and borked image. If you have found a bug causing credit card data to leak saving your business from many lawsuits. You are the hero!
• Developers are creative and stand behind the successful solution. But are testers not creative? Just image how hard it can be to come up with hundreds of ways to put the app under test, to invent new paths the end-user may take and to consider all possible variables and conditions. You are the hero!
• Developers are more tech-savvy and even a monkey can crash the app. Sure a monkey can hit all buttons randomly till the app crashes, but you also use codes, write scripts and use a variety of tools to juice up your automation by removing this randomness from the equation. So you are also a hero in this domain.

CONCLUSION

If you are a tester and you are smart you will receive both the credit, the respect and also multiple financial and career opportunities. Don’t forget that you are doing the things you love and you are great at and after a while you will become a Mentor, a Team Lead or you can work independently and providing quality assurance services.
